How to Root BlueStacks 3/3N
BlueStacks 3 and 3N is the current stable version we have. BlueStacks 3N runs on Android Nougat (7.1) while the normal BlueStacks 3 runs on Android Kitkat(4.4). You definitely get more performance on the 3N compared to the older Kitkat version. But if your system is having less resources, I wouldn’t recommend installing the 3N version. But it doesn’t hurt to try.
System requirements for BlueStacks 3N
- OS: Windows 7 and above.
- Processor: Intel or AMD Processor.
- RAM: Your PC must have at least 2GB of RAM. (Note that having 2GB or more disk space is not a substitute for RAM)
- HDD: 4GB Free Disk Space
Step to Root BlueStacks 3/3N
Step 1: First of all, open BlueStacks Tweaker.
Step 2: Click on the Full Stop BS button to completely stop BlueStacks and all its services.
Step 3: Once BlueStacks and ADB status is red, go to Helpers tab and then Click on Unlock under the Root for BlueStacks section. You can see the status as “Unlock:True” at the bottom.
Step 4: Once the unlocking is completed, Start BlueStacks by Clicking the Start BS Button from Main tab. Wait for it to load completely. Once it gets loaded, Click on Patch button. You will be able to see that patching is finished and a status messages shows “RootPatch:True” at the bottom.
Step 5: Click on the Install SuperSu button. This will install the SuperSu app in BlueStacks. SuperSu is the application that is used to manage the root privileges.
Step 6: Check BlueStacks and open the SuperSu application. You will get a prompt to Install Su Binary. Click on Continue and Select Normal. After Installation is completed, click on Ok.
Step 7: Optionally install a Root Checker application from Google Play Store and then you can verify the Root Access.
